Habits of enlightenment

How do you stay enlightened?

For those of us meditating regularly and getting into a state of love and understanding will know a feeling of enlightenment. It is bliss, it is love, it is understanding for all and everything, even situations and circumstances.

The difficult part is being enlightened all the time. Life happens and we sometimes react in a way not in alignment with what we ideally want to be.

So how do we keep that state of enlightenment throughout our day and life?

HABITS

You have the power over your mind and body and that is the 2 “tools” you use to create habits. Now we all have a choice in the habits we create and keep, be it eating an unhealthy snack or keeping fit. It is a choice you made. Some habits have been created so long ago that we forget when and how we created it, we forget that first thought and decision we took that lead us down the road to the destination we are currently at.

Habits of enlightenment is just that. It is creating the good habits that will lead us to live a full life, a life of enlightenment.

The methods of creation are simple, but it takes work and effort. That is why habits are an integral part of being/staying or becoming enlightened.

Some habits of enlightenment are to love everybody, everything and every situation around us without judgement.

“You can’t judge and love at the same time.”

Another is giving without expecting

Understanding another’s decisions in life, again without judgement but with love and understanding.

I repeat, you can not love and judge at the same time. If you think you can then you must re-evaluate what love is in the larger scheme of things. Not a limited, conditional love we tend to display towards people currently.

Creating these habits take time and effort. Read this link to the timelines of creation to have an understanding of what it takes.

In the end, it is all worth it. Once you have achieved a certain state of enlightenment you get to keep it, unless you change your mind again.

So, in essence, enlightenment habits is about changing your mind and body to only think, feel and perceive the world in an enlightened way.

What does it mean to you to be enlightened? Your definition determines the state you will achieve.

Think big, dream big. We had Masters walking the earth before and currently, use them as examples of the state you can achieve and create these habits of enlightenment and become what you are meant to be.

Have fun.

Love and light.

Timelines of creation

The 3-day Theory is the timeline it takes to initiate a change in yourself and life.
Your mind thinks you are what you have been for the past 3 days.
So, if you want to change something about yourself, you will have to “be” the new person for 3days in a row and maintain it. The 4th day you will find it very easy to ‘be’ that new person as your mind now recall the past 3 days as who you are.
The game is not finished yet. Now your self dicipline needs to kick in and keep up the good work by being the new you and not to fall back into past thinking and feeling habits.
Stay reminded of the timelines to change.
• 3 days to initiate the change
• 3 weeks to create/change a habit
• 3 months to embed the habit in your subconscious brain
• 6 months to become and act the new you.
These timelines are based on the work and effort being done with a sense of passion and desire every day and not to fall back into past thinking and feeling habits.
It is therefore important to be aware what you are experiencing and not fall pray to thinking and feeling negative emotions like fear, anger, depression, hate etc for more than even 1 day.
It is easier to stop that train in day one than it is after 3 days. After day 3 you start to associate with that emotion and thought. Just imagine it after a few months or year?
To change back to your happiness, joy, love etc can take enormous amount of effort. One way we do it instantly is by being in a situation of great pain(breakup, betrayal etc). After that pain experience we see the errors of our ways and start to reform our behaviours.
To avoid getting stuck in a hole, sit daily in solitude with yourself while journaling about your beingness (Thoughts, behaviours and feelings). Make sure you are the person you want to be and ensure that no impure thoughts and feelings made their way in your mind and body (mind=thoughts and body=emotions).
Be reminded of the 3 day Theory, don’t stay in any unwanted emotion or feeling you do not want for longer than 3 days.
Stay healthy, stay happy, stay fun.

Why do we stress? 6 easy steps to eliminate stress today

(An update on the previous article)

Stress, the all too familiar feeling of anxiety and the lack of self believe.

You do get good stress, but it is actually bad stress handled in a good way. It should not feel necessary to stress to perform, it is not needed to have stress as a motivating or driving factor. We CAN create new, better motivational factors in our lives. Instead, use future driven goals instead of past programmed fears to achieve.

Why do we feel stress then?
We stress because we have a perceived fear of the outcome. The stressful thoughts then create a chemical release in the body and ‘stress’ is felt. We fear we are not capable to carry out the task successfully.

This however is just a perception.

Stress and anxiety is future orientated. Guilt is past oriented.

Example: John at work was stressed about a task that needed to be performed. He was inexperienced and was fearing the act, possibly the fear of rejection underlying the stress. Because he had never done this before, the fear of rejection caused him to stress whether he is capable to carry out the task.
Peter on the other hand did not stress about it because he have done it before numerous times.
So where is the difference? It is not the task, because Peter could carry out the same task without stress.

It was the perceived idea that he could fail. The self believe was not strong enough to overcome the stress of the situation.

You can say that Peter had more experience and that is the reason why he did not stress. However, Peter had built up self-confidence within himself and cow faced new and different challenges with minimum to no stress, because he managed the place where stress come from. Perceptions in the mind.

Now, if stress is as a result of a fear, and a fear can be overcome, then there is no reason to stress, right? Just like the old saying, “Can you do something about the stress? If yes, then do it and don’t stress. If no, then there is no reason to stress, just prepare.”
Work on your fears and your stress will decrease to a point where you are the master of your life and you decide whether to feel stress or not.

At the end of the day, if you do not work to master your life, life will make you its servant. You have the power to choose your outcomes. You must just decide what your outcomes must be.
That is the power and importance of self-development, self-improvement and/or self-mastery, the latter sounds better, SELF MASTERY. yah

We all are allowed to feel wonderful every single day. The majority of people unfortunately chose to feel bad, miserable and blaming. A possible reason is that they do not want to take control of their life to this full extend.

How can we take control of the stresses that control us at times?

Stress is a choice, some know they are making the decision and others don’t. Stress can be avoided by being aware of the thought and emotion that is troubling you. By changing the thought and emotion associated with that fear, you will be able to remove stress.

Take these 6 steps to change a stressful situation in a successful outcome

1st, become calm.

Do a breathing exercise and focus on how the body feel in the room you are sitting in. Try to feel what the body feels and try to feel around your body. (Feel with your senses, not handsJ)

1.     Write down what you are stressed about. How does it make you feel and think?

2.     What is the desired outcome you want without stress? Describe in detail, how does it make you feel?

3.     If you could take 1 action to eliminate this stress and get the desired outcome you want, what action would it be?

When you figured out the action/s that needs to be taken, put some timelines on it.

4.     How long should it take me to complete the action/s?

5.     Do I need anything to complete this task successfully?

6.     Now, take ACTION

The secret is to keep your focus on the desired outcome while performing the action.

With this plan in hand, your stress levels should be gone or under control at least. Trust in your plan. Believe it will work out as intended.

Intention + focus + action = desired result

Conclusion

We all are able to make decisions in our lives, do I want coffee or tea, hot or cold, etc. we just have not been taught how to use the brain/mind to make good decisions for ourselves, for our mental well-being.

Happy creating

Life is a choice, enjoy the journey.
