Glutony and abundance

Thought of the day.

Same same but not similar

Glutony is overeating. Eating like there is no tomorrow.
Abundance meanse you always have enough. A large quantity of something.
Glutony has its own name, as overeating is damaging to your body and mind. If over eating was not bad for you, then it would have been called 'abundance' eating.
So, to be abundant, you have enough and always will have enough.
Glutony is to eat and eat, possibly for the reason that you think/believe you will not get another chance at this meal. And so stuff your face.

What is thebthin line between glutony and abundance?
Glutony - now
Abundance - always

So, chose abundance, there is always enough. Believe that your next meal will be even more spectacular than the current one. Believe you are worth it.

We live in abundance, claim yours now.

Why would we choose to be untidy?

Why would we choose to be untidy?

Think about this. Why are you not neat and tidy at times? Leaving plates or cups for longer than it should, not emptying the rubbish bins frequently enough, leaving clothes on the floor, not picking up your clothes next to the rubbish bin and on..
Notice the thought you have when you look at that dirty cup, “Not now, I’ll do it when I walk past again”, or “I’ll do it when I leave the room.”etc.
We all know these thoughts but we do not always recognise them in the moment.
Perhaps one reason is, we want to be busy? Now follow me, a part of the Ego wants to feel busy to think it is productive. We all associate busyness with productiveness, and we know it’s not true as we all know someone that is always busy but never delivers.
If you take your thought deeper, there is sense that you say you are too busy now to take the cup to the kitchen. Busy watching a show on TV/computer, lying on the bed etc.
Why can’t you take the cups back when the show is finished? Why do you have to go to bed now or shower first?
Why can’t you pick up the cup when you eventually walk past it? For a second time, 3rd time… What are you too busy with now?
Eventually you have to clean the whole place, from top to bottom. You complain that it takes you an entire day to clean your home, but don’t stop to think that you created this.
You filled up your time with meaningless tasks that could have been completed already. It takes lose to extra effort to grab a cup on the way to the kitchen. Bending down to throw your clothes in the basket.

However, on the other hand, we have filled our time again to be busy, to satisfy the ego. We do not sit still without anything to do.
If we do not create things to keep us busy, our habitual and social patterns will take over and create what we know how to do. Remembering our ego is lazy and wants quick wins. Cleaning the entire house is less work than learning a new skill, a new language, spending time with the kids/loved ones.

If you keep these principles in mind, life will become much easier.

So, how do you want to keep yourself busy? Do YOU want to keep yourself busy, or your ego.

You can decide, you are either going to be a slave to your ego or the master of your destiny. Choose wisely.

"But I'm working on it"...

How long have you been saying "I'm working on it"?

Are you also guilty of falling in the subtle procrastination trap?

What issue have you been working on for quite some time and doesn't seem to get resolved?
Relationship issues, Parent issues, Child issues, friends etc.
How long have you been saying your working on it? Can you justify why it needs to take that long to resolve?
What will the impact be if you resolve the issue now, immediately? What do you expect the outcome to be? How certain are you about the outcome? If your uncertain about the outcome, is that not maybe a reason why you are not making progress to resolve the perceived issue? How certain do you have to be to get the outcome you want? Why do you think you will not get the outcome you want?
(Ask yourself these questions honestly, wright it down to get the most out of you. (you can burn the paper afterwords if you desire, although i would suggest to do the writing in your daily journal).)

The thing is to know and understand you are the outcome already. If you worry about the outcome, you can just as well use that time to think of the outcome you desire.

How can we start to change this, "I'm working on it" mentality;

  • Identify what your desired outcome must be
  • Work out an action plan on what you will need to do to achieve your outcome. I.e. don't shout at the kids/wide first thing when you get home...
  • Identify your thought patterns associated with this perceived issue and work out an ideal thought pattern to replace the thoughts and feelings not inline with your desired outcome.
  • Visualize the new ideal outcome/situation in your life and feel it in your life.
  • Forget the thought, words and meaning of "Im working on it" and replace it with something more in the line "its happening now" thought framework.

At the end of the day, the "Im working on it" is just an excuse we use to keep doing the same things without feeling obvious guilt about it.

Don't be that person anymore. Be the new you, be awesome. Be the "I have done that" person.Tell stories instead if boring's.

Life is not always easy, but its always worth it. Find the worth and feel the joy.
